Yoga celebrations are in full swing across the country. As part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to promote yoga nationwide, a grand yoga event is scheduled on June 21 at Visakhapatnam Beach Road. The district administration has already begun making arrangements to bring large numbers of people from Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, and Vizianagaram districts to participate in the event.
However, it is disappointing to note that Konathala Vijay and his wife—who hail from Anakapalli and hold a Guinness World Record in yoga—have not been invited to this prestigious event. Yoga enthusiasts have expressed concern over the district authorities’ failure to acknowledge and involve such globally recognized achievers.
While national figures like the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu,and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan , Megastar Chirngeevi and local leaders like Dadi Ratnakar have congratulated the couple, for achieving World record. It is pity that Local representatives such as MP CM Ramesh and MLA Konathala Ramakrishna have not even extended their appreciation.
At least collector s ofAnakapalle and Visakhapatnam would have invited the Guinness yoga couple to Yogandhra.
